Do
you freeze your cakes?
We bake, fill, ice, and decorate wedding cakes just days before to optimize
its rich flavors. Due to warm weather, we may chill a wedding cake for a few
hours in the freezer to ensure a proper delivery and set up. It is all about
delivering a finely decorated gourmet cake!
What
happens if the cake is damaged before the reception?
It is difficult to predict an accident, and we realize things would get complicated
without a back up plan. Aside from our wedding cake business, we are owners
of a retail bakery. We always have cakes that we can decorate and deliver
as soon as possible.
Can
we have different flavors for each tier?
Many of our clients prefer a variety of flavors to satisfy their desire for
fun and surprise for second helpings.
How
long have you been in business and how experienced is your pastry chef?
We are proud to say service & quality are our core values of our 10-year-old
business. Following his passion for over 30 years Hans fulfills your vision
with a flair for customer service and extraordinary skill.
How
soon do we have to place our order for our wedding cake?
If you are choosing a wedding date during the peak wedding season (May through
September), then it is never too early to book us for your wedding cake. For
us it is a real plus if you can book as soon as possible and during the off-season,
we will try our best to accept an order with just one week’s notice.
What
does rolled fondant taste like? Can you eat it? Is it easy to slice?
The latest trend for creative cake design is rolled fondant. Our skills can
be pushed to satisfy the most sophisticated tastes. A sweet, velvety texture
brings smiles with choices of many subtle flavors. As a rule, any cake is
more easily sliced with a sharp clean knife, dipping your knife in hot water
and cleaning it after each slice.
How
many cakes do you make on a weekend?
Our average number of wedding cakes over a weekend is 9 and we prefer to limit
ourselves to 12. Our ability to bring pleasure to our clients through timely
deliveries, focusing on a beautiful, delicious cake is essential. Our pastry
business continues to grow and we would like to fill the gap with each year’s
increasing demands. We look forward to ultimately being able to handle more
wedding cake orders, while keeping our tremendous attention to the details.
How
soon do we deliver the cake before the reception?
We usually answer you with a few questions: · When does the reception begin?
· What time will the room be available? If the ceremony takes place elsewhere
we usually deliver and set-up one to two hours before the reception. We will
not deliver your cake hours early and then leave it in the hands of a third
party.
Will
I have enough cake to serve all my guests?
What is most important is to anticipate some unexpected guests, and the cutting
techniques of the catering staff. We believe it is a good idea to tell us
the required amount of guests and we will provide you with our advice on how
to proceed. It really is a non-issue; we have never had a complaint about
not enough cake!
Can
I bring my own picture for my cake and can I request a special flavor?
We really enjoy and welcome you to bring pictures from magazines and books.
We are influenced by new trends as much as traditional styles. We will distinguish
a wedding cake that we can do with its costs and possible alternatives to
get the main concept that you are trying to achieve. Special requests for
flavors not mentioned in our menu are important to allow you to be creative.
